Rodent droppings and urine, mold, water damage, and smoke don't air out — they stay in the material, hold odor and allergens, and can pose a real health risk. The only fix is full removal under containment, followed by a proper cleanup.

A Note on Vermiculite
If your attic has older vermiculite insulation (small, pebble-like, often grayish-brown), it may contain asbestos. We recommend testing before disturbing it and handling it accordingly — we'll guide you through the right, safe approach rather than tearing into it blind.
